AS ROMA 2 - 1 MAN UTD
UEFA Champions League Q-Final 1st Leg
10 man Man Utd fought with grit and determination in Italy.
Scholes was red carded after 2 silly yellow cards in the 32 min and that completely changed the flow of the game.
Credit to a strong 2nd half performance by the Red Devils, Rooney scored a important away goal, his first goal in the Champions League after nearly 2 years.
Ronaldo was at his best, jerking and confusing rival defenders while the Defence manage to hold out waves and waves of Roma attacks. I thought Heinze was just outstanding.
2nd leg at Old Trafford in a week.

Manchester United and Swiss Open
ManU overcomed Bolton 4-1 at Old Trafford over the weekend, with a brace from Park JS and Rooney. Chelsea also won to keep the score difference at 6 points.
On another note, Koo and Tan successfully won the Swiss Open last night, claiming their 2nd title in 2 weeks after their success in the All-England

All-England Champion
Heartiest congratulations to Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong, as they again demonstrated why they are the world’s most exciting young pair at the All-England
They beat China’s world champions Fu Haifeng-Cai Yun to end Malaysia’s 25-year wait, in dazzling style winning 21-15, 21-18 in 39 minutes.
The duo, formed only months ago showed determination and grit, as well as skill and composure to win the tournament. Adding to the DOHA Asian Games team gold medal, they have shown yet again that Malaysians can do well in the international sporting arena, but only with the right attitude.
Lets continue to look at our other sad sport affairs.
In football, we are so lowly ranked that it is embarrasing. Our hockey team has declined so badly that now they might not be called for tournaments or even as spar partners with the other team.
Where have we gone wrong?
Loads of cash is being channelled into sports, for foreign coaches, for top-of-the-range facilities (remember the London centre), winning incentives, sports schools yet we cannot produce world class athletes (Nicole David and Josiah Ng is a different class).
Anyhow, congrats again to our badminton players and keep the Jalur Gemilang flying high.

Middlesbrough 2 - 2 Manchester United
Quater-final of the FA CUP. Laarson's final match before he returns to Helsingborg in Sweden.
Devils were fantastic in the first half, leading with a Rooney snap shot before Boro equalised right at half time.
After the break, Boro took a suprise lead, from a corner kick in the very first minute. Ronaldo saved the Devils blushes with a clinical penalty after a handball incident.
Replay at OLD TRAFFORD.
FYI, Chelsea came back from the dead to draw 3-3 with Spurs. Spurs deserved the win.

Manchester United 1-0 Lille
ManU took the field at Old Trafford protecting a slim 1-0 lead from the 1st leg 2 weeks ago in France. For those not familiar with game, this is the 2nd round 2nd leg results of the UEFA Champions League.
Laarson was spectacular with his 3rd goals for the Devils after a fantastic run and pass from the ‘Gifted’ Ronaldo in the 72nd minute.
Overall, ManU didn’t actually play that well, but these are material of a CHAMP, being able to grind results even when the team is playing well below par.
Watch out teams, the Devils are on a roll.
